Hello, I am Kylie Redden. I was born and raised just outside of Richmond VA, and recently graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University where I majored in Fashion Design and minored in Fashion Merchandising. As a lifelong artist and storyteller, my practice is informed by my life experiences and artistic endeavors.
My design philosophy is deeply shaped by the women in my life, inspiring me to create designs that are distinctly feminine, handcrafted, and purposeful. I have a strong technical background in garment construction, draping, patternmaking, and technical design. I'm also skilled in digital tools like Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and CLO3D.
Beyond my academic work, I'm passionate about sustainability in fashion. I currently serve as the Director of Outreach for Pop Up Stop, a program dedicated to educating consumers about textile waste and helping recycle end-of-life textiles. I'm also honored to be part of Target’s Advancing Diverse Design program, where I’m mentored by their manager of responsible sourcing and sustainability. This experience continues to deepen my passion for innovation in fashion.
I am currently seeking a full-time job where I will be able to continue learning and expanding my design knowledge. I am open to relocation and excited to join a team soon!
